The name of this hotel isn't recognized by my gps and there is also the Mary Arden's house located very near (600 ft.) make me confuse with the hotel and I waste 1/5 hr. finding this hotel.
Nice location and hotel full of character. Excellent breakfast.
We had our evening meal at the hotel. The food was very good, although the portion size could have been bigger for the price charged. Rooms could do with some general maintenance, we went to open the window and the opener fell off.
good value for money, evening meal good, breakfast also.room reasonable size with t.v and coffee and tea provided. bathroom more than adequate.
The staff were helpful and courteous. The breakfast and meals were excellent.
The wooden window frame was rotten and the wind blew through it. The radiator control was broken and was stuck on cold. One of the taps had it's top missing. The recessed light fitting was dangling from its cable. These are not complaints - merely observations for all to see.
The decor and equipment in the bedroom was of a very high standard and the food excellent value
Beer garden could be improved
Pleaseant clean rooms in a pub within easy reach of Stratford on Avon- park and ride and railway station nearby. Pretty village.
The staff are really helpful, friendly and accommodating. The hotel is well placed for Stratford especially if you use the train - its a 10 ride to the centre of Stratford.
Lovely friendly hotel, real heart of the village. Good links to Birmingham by train. The managers make you feel at home and nothing is too much trouble for them. Lovely home cooked food. Will definitely be going back and have recommended it to friends
Beautiful old inn in a gorgeous location. Staff were very helpful and all service was excellent. Food also excellent and all value for money. Highly recommended to anyone. Possibly more suited to adults as in an inn.
Room was clean and tidy and location fine.
Total curate's egg of a stay. On arrival the owner was rude and unhelpful. The chef was going to Birmingham that night so the 7-9 for dinner was out and we had to be sat down by 7.45 at the latest if we wanted any food. The following morning we approached the restaurant with trepidation, but were welcomed by the morning chef who was the most friendly and helpful person.
Welcoming staff, very lovely room. Good breakfast
Tv too low down in room. Have to sit upright in bed to watch
The Food was excellent
Bed not comfortable, mattress had lost it's firmness and had a dip in the middle.
We stayed in the romeo and juilet suite, which was fantastic, really comfortable and cosy, bathroom amazing. All the usual in the room also conditioner as well as shampoo which I liked. The food was really lovely and fresh and loads of it, all the staff really helpfull and friendly gave advise where to go and tips too. First class cheff we would definately go back again.
Front seating area outside could do with a tidy up, also inside looking a bit tired, and too many plastic flowers in the room, they we so nicely decorated they didnt need the plastic.
Asked to book in early and was told point blank that check in was at 3.00 pm. Staff didn't even check which room we were in to see if this was possible. Outside the hotel looks very tired and is in need of major refurbishment. Room was relatively clean but teaspoons were dirty, dead fly in bathroom which I felt had been there some time. The four poster bed creaked as soon as you sat on the bed and clearly needs maintenance. The spa bath started of it's own accord a couple of times. At numerous times during the stay there was a strong smell of sewage in the hotel which was extremely unpleasant.
Pleasant and helpful staff. Convenient for park and ride into Stratford. Hop on and Hop off tour bus calls in village.Excellent breakfast. Good evening meal and selection of beers.
